D’oh! This Record Sold Before We Could Post It
I’d like to say, “Hey, come on in and buy this original, still-sealed 1990 copy of The Simpsons Sing the Blues, complete with its original hype sticker!”
But I can’t.
Because somewhere between taking this picture and getting around to posting it, somebody bought the thing.
D’oh!
The good news is that it went to a customer who has apparently watched every season of The Simpsons at least three times. And that’s one of my favorite parts of running a record store: watching the right record find the right person. Sometimes you don’t sell the record. You merely facilitate its journey to its new Springfield.
So long, “Simpsons Sing the Blues”. You were too beautiful for this world. Or at least too beautiful to remain on our shelf for very long.
Not to worry, gang. We’ve still got plenty of excellent new, used, collectible and cromulent records in the bins.
It’s another week at the mall. Come on down.
And remember: money can be exchanged for goods and services.
