The Sharp Notes is an independent physical record store and music media hub devoted to vinyl culture, thoughtful music journalism, and the art of listening. Based in New Jersey and serving collectors worldwide, we explore music through in-depth interviews on The Sharp Notes Podcast, critical reviews, curated events, and a carefully selected catalog of records that honor both history and discovery.

Founded by lifelong record collector, writer, musician and educator Evan Toth, The Sharp Notes grew out of a simple belief: music deserves time, context, and attention. What began as a blog and podcast has evolved into a physical record store, community space, and multimedia platform dedicated to preserving the stories behind the sounds. We speak with musicians, producers, archivists, and label heads to understand not only the music, but the ecosystem that makes it possible.
