I vividly recall watching the music video for “Human Behavior” for the first time - can you imagine a time when music videos were played on MTV as though it were the greatest global radio station, but with moving pictures? - Anyway…watching that creative piece of audio/visual entertainment in the early 90s was definitely a game-changing shift from the rock and grunge world I was loyalty mired in.
It didn’t occour overnight, but it was a moment of learning something I could not unlearn. Luckily, the rest of the album is also excellent: a genre blending debut from an incredibly unique voice.
