Billy Joel – The Nylon Curtain (CBS/Sony – 30AP 2401, 1982 🇯🇵)

Well, have you ever heard of normal pressure hydrocephalus? Me neither. But here’s one of these weird moments in a life cycle where your heroes grow older and end up getting weird conditions just as all of our loved ones do (and as we will).
This time - however - it’s Billy, and for those of us who have been fans for a long time, well, it’s a little alarming, but only because it reminds us of the fragility of health in an existence that offers no guarantees.
The positive news is it seems as though - with Billy‘s therapeutic regimen - there may be an opportunity for him to return to the stage. Whether or not that’s true, and whether or not that happens is moot: he’s given us so much over so many years that now it’s time for him to focus on himself and not worry about his audience. Getting back on stage will just be gravy.
Feel better, Billy.
